| Some of the most competitive one-design racing in the Solent can be found with the Victory class dayboats sailing out of Portsmouth Harbour on two evenings a week as well as Saturday afternoon. The black clinker hulls sport a Bermudan rig with a generous spinnaker. Although traditionally built in wood, following a 4 year development programme, a composite “grp” boat was launched in May 2007 to sail on even terms with its predecessors. With a number of building slots already booked for additional composite boats the long term future of the seventy three year old class is now secure. | ||
