| Dragons have been racing on the Solent during summer months for years and competition on the water during Skandia Cowes Week 2008 promises to be another hard-fought affair. This keelboat is a very technical boat to sail, the hull design may have been around for over 75 years but the layout of the deck and cockpit is being constantly developed and updated. As always, modern fibreglass Dragons will be racing against their more graceful but equally competitive wooden counterparts - competition will be fierce yet clean, followed by a couple cold ones ashore. Perhaps this is the reason why the class attracts Dragon sailors from all over Europe. | ||
